Why the jurisdiction matters more here than most places
Every city here runs its own rulebook
The container goes on your own property whenever we can manage it, and on most Wentzville lots that is easy — the drives are wide and the setbacks are generous. Put it on the street or the verge instead and you are into a right-of-way process, and the City of Wentzville, O’Fallon, Defiance, Foristell, Augusta, Lake Saint Louis, Flint Hill, Weldon Spring, St. Peters, Dardenne Prairie, Troy, Moscow Mills, Josephville, Cottleville and St. Charles County each run their own version of it. Out in the county there is usually no city permit at all, but there is something better worth knowing before the truck rolls: where the septic tank, the leach field and the well head sit, because a loaded box does not belong on any of them. Gated entrances, long lanes and cattle guards are the other thing to mention on the phone. Where it actually goes
Missouri has no statewide ban on yard waste going to landfill, whatever you may have read, but clean brush is still worth keeping as a separate clean load: grass, leaves, limbs and tree trimmings with no lumber, wire or trash mixed in get ground for mulch instead of buried, and the City of Wentzville runs brush collection and a citizens collection station for exactly that. Missouri keeps yard trash out of the solid waste stream, so vegetative debris has to ride as a separate clean load to a yard-waste or mulching facility rather than mixed into a construction load — get that wrong and the load gets reclassified at the scale. Full basements, and what that means for a cleanout
Nearly every house in St. Charles County has a full basement, and that single fact resets the sizing. A cleanout here has a whole extra floor of contents behind it — decades of storage boxes, a workbench and half-finished projects, canning and holiday shelves, an old chest freezer, exercise equipment and the boxes from three previous moves — before you even open the garage or the attic. It also changes the labour: everything has to come up a stairwell, which is the real time sink on any basement job, and a walkout changes the plan entirely because we can set the container by the door you are actually using. If the basement has ever taken water from a failed sump or a slow foundation leak, the cardboard, paper and particleboard down there are probably already gone, so decide fast rather than building a maybe pile
Missouri weather and the calendar
Spring and early summer are the busy end of our year. Eastern Missouri gets tornadoes, large hail and straight-line wind through those months, and when a hail cell walks across the county every roofer, adjuster and container is spoken for inside a week — so call early rather than call right. Winter is the other constraint: ice on a sloped drive will stop a delivery outright, plow windrows bury a container parked in the wrong place, and a can left too long in January can freeze to the ground. Hard freeze-thaw and road salt spall driveways and aprons every year, and expansive clay soil moves the slab underneath them, which is why we put protection boards down and photograph the concrete before a wheel touches it. Spring thaw leaves ground soft enough to rut, so on a gravel drive we would rather move you a day than leave marks you will look at for a decade

How far do you actually go?
Roughly a 50 mile radius from our May Rd yard, which covers St. Charles County end to end and reaches into Hockley, Terry, Crosby, Lynn, Hale, Lamb and Garza counties — Flint Hill and Moscow Mills at the top, Cottleville and Josephville at the bottom, Augusta and Dardenne Prairie east, St. Peters and Troy west. Can you deliver out to Troy, Moscow Mills or Cottleville?
Yes, with a conversation first. Long dirt and shell lanes, gates a truck cannot swing wide enough for, soft sand and low live oak limbs all affect which container we can get in and where it can safely sit, and sandy ground gives way under a loaded truck for a day or two after heavy rain. On an acreage, tell us where the septic tank, the leach field and the well head are so the box does not go over any of them. And from October through December, module trucks and gin traffic set the timing on the highways out that way. Give us the address and we will tell you honestly what will and will not work.
Which parts of Wentzville do you cover?
All of it. Our yard sits south of I-70 on May Rd out toward St. Charles, so south Wentzville, the 82nd and Blue Angel Parkway corridors and the Milwaukee and Main Street side are short runs, the newer subdivisions, the Historic Main Street district and downtown are a straight shot up US-40 or David Hoekel Parkway, and the north and east sides run on I-70, the Highway 94 and US-61. Placement is what is worth a sentence on the phone: most drives here are wide and flat and take anything we own, the older grid near campus is tighter and sometimes has an alley behind, and around St. Charles Community College move-out in May and move-in in August the whole rental market turns over in the same two weeks, so book ahead.
